Spreading Festive Joy: Navia Cares Celebrates Pongal with Chennai’s Homeless Community
As part of our ongoing CSR initiative, we distributed 200+ food packets to homeless individuals in Chennai with the support of the NGO Thaagam Foundation. The activity was carried out in view of the Pongal festival, with the intention of sharing festive meals with those in need. One of the distribution drives was conducted in Kotturpuram, while the second distribution took place at Semmancheri. Food packets consisting of veg biryani, vadai, banana, and a water bottle were distributed to beneficiaries.
The activity was executed in coordination with Thaagam Foundation and with active participation from our team members, ensuring smooth implementation. Through such festival based initiatives, we continue to reinforce our commitment to social responsibility and community welfare.

While meals were distributed across all centers, our team personally visited Tharamani Women’s Shelter to serve the food and spend quality time with the residents.
Our initiative extended across the following homes:
1. Tower Women’s Shelter
2. Tharamani Women’s Shelter
3. Kirubai
4. Sami Old Age Home
The experience went beyond serving plates; it was about listening to stories, sharing conversations, and creating moments of joy. These interactions transformed the initiative into something far more meaningful. The smiles we received in return were priceless reminders of why such efforts matter.
