Set Up and Install Google Authenticator App for TOTP in Navia Web APP

Navia has implemented an extra layer of security with Time-Based One-Time Password (TOTP) on our Web APP. You can easily set this up using the Google Authenticator App. Follow the steps below to download the app, scan the QR code, and generate your TOTP to enhance your account’s security.
Step 1: Download the Google Authenticator App
First, you need to download the Google Authenticator App on your mobile device. Here’s how you can do it:
● For Android users:
● Open the Google Play Store on your phone.
● Search for “Google Authenticator” or click here to download directly.
● Tap Install to download and install the app.
● For iOS users:
● Open the App Store on your iPhone or iPad.
● Search for “Google Authenticator” or click here to download directly.
● Tap Get to download and install the app.
Step 2: Set Up TOTP in Google Authenticator
Once the Google Authenticator App is installed, follow these steps to set up TOTP for your Navia Web APP account:
🔸 Open the Google Authenticator App on your mobile device.
🔸 Add a New Account:
Tap the + icon in the bottom right corner of the app.
Choose Scan a QR code
🔸 Scan the QR Code:
Scan the QR code displayed on the Navia Web APP.
🔸 Generate the TOTP Code:
After scanning the QR code, the app will generate a 6-digit TOTP code that refreshes every 30 seconds.
🔸 Verify the TOTP:
Enter the 6-digit TOTP code generated in the Navia Web APP to complete the setup process.
🔸 Change TOTP (If your phone crashes/lost or you lost access to the Authenticator APP)
This option is available in the profile section of the Navia Web APP. Click on Change TOTP to get the QR code to change your TOTP and map it to a new authenticator account.
Step 3: Logging In with TOTP
After setting up the Google Authenticator App, follow these steps to log in to the Navia Web APP using TOTP:
→ Open the Google Authenticator App on your phone.
→ View the 6-digit TOTP that’s generated for your Navia account (the code refreshes every 30 seconds).
→ Enter the TOTP code into the Navia Web APP login screen when prompted for verification.

1. What happens if I lose my phone or access to the Authenticator App?
In case you lose access to the Google Authenticator App or your phone, login with OTP, then goto the profile section of the Navia Web APP. Click on Change TOTP to get the QR code to change your TOTP and map if to a new authenticator account.
2. Can I use another Authenticator App instead of Google Authenticator?
Yes, you can use other popular apps like Microsoft Authenticator or Authy
