Important Update: NSE Expiry Day Change Withheld

NSE Withholds Expiry Day Change Until Further Notice

NSE has withheld the change in expiry day until furthernotice due to SEBI's new consultation paper on expiry days (as per NSEcircular).

Effective April 4, 2025, the expiry schedule for all derivativeswas initially planned to change:

• NIFTY weekly contracts were set to expire on Mondays instead of Thursdays.
• Monthly and quarterly contracts (NIFTY, BANKNIFTY, and stocks) were scheduled to expire on the last Monday of the month instead of the last Thursday.

However, these scheduled changes have now been put onhold following SEBIsconsultation paper.
